1 · Purpose of Disclosure

Via The Hive LLC (“Via Hive,” “we,” “us”) may obtain a consumer report and/or investigative consumer report about you for contractor eligibility, risk management, and compliance purposes.
  All reports are procured only with your written authorization and used in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq.), state law, and international equivalents.

1-A · International Applicant Clause

For Providers residing outside the U.S., background checks are conducted under the GDPR, LGPD, or local data-protection laws. Your data may be transferred to the U.S. under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). You retain all rights under GDPR Arts 13-22 and LGPD Arts 18-19.

2 · Information That May Be Collected

Identity and address history · Criminal records · Sex-offender registry (if lawful) · Driving records (for transport roles) · Employment and license verification · Watchlist screenings (OFAC, terrorism, sanctions).

Reports are generated by Checker Inc., our designated background-check partner, under FCRA and GDPR standards.

3 · Authorization & Ongoing Screening

By accepting this Disclosure or signing electronically, you authorize Via Hive and its agents to obtain consumer reports and investigative consumer reports about you from Checker Inc. and other authorized sources at any time during onboarding, active contract, renewal, or risk review.
  Via Hive may conduct annual re-screenings to maintain platform eligibility.
  This authorization remains valid until revoked in writing to [email protected].

4 · Use of Information

Used only to evaluate contractor eligibility, verify compliance, and protect users. Results may influence account approval, suspension, or deactivation per PTU § 19 and the Deactivation & Appeals Policy (VH-DSA-2025).
  No information is used for unlawful discrimination.

5 · Your Rights Under the FCRA and State Law

• Prior notice before any adverse decision.

• Copy of report + “Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA.”

• Right to dispute inaccuracies with Checker or the reporting agency.

• One free credit report per year at www.annualcreditreport.com.

• Independent Dispute Handling Statement: Via Hive does not alter Checker’s data; all disputes must be submitted to Checker directly.

• Appeal Procedure Reference: If an adverse decision is made, you may appeal under the Deactivation & Appeals Policy (VH-DSA-2025).

7 · Data Retention & Privacy

Background reports retained for five (5) years or as required by law.
  Stored with AES-256 encryption and access-control.
  Governed by Via Hive Provider Privacy Policy (VH-PPP-2025-R1.1).

8 · Automated Decision & Human Review

Automated risk screening may be used, but no final decision occurs without human review by an authorized Compliance Officer.

9 · Equal Opportunity Statement

10 · Revocation of Consent

You may revoke consent any time by emailing [email protected]. Revocation may affect eligibility to provide services.
